Fishing Country With Charlie Pack
Updated 3-6-2010

The 22nd Annual Really Big Fishing Event for Very
Special People was held on Saturday, January 30th from
9 am to 3 pm in the Fine Arts and Exhibition Buildings at
the Heart of Texas Fairgrounds in Waco.
Charlie Pack made a personal appearance and video
taped two episods of his TV show there with guests and
volunteers, as is his usual custom. The episodes will air
March 6th or 7th and March 13th or 14th. Please check
our TV Show Page for stations and times.
Individuals of all ages with special health care needs or
disabilities were treated to a free day of fun, food and
fishing. Activities included music, dancing, and games
with prizes.
Participants caught rainbow trout from a special shallow
but large tank on the floor. They were allowed to catch
and keep up to three fish, which volunteers cleaned and
bagged.
The annual event is chaired by McLennan County
Constable Travis Bailey, with the help of many sponsors
and volunteers, including many of the Baylor University
service sorority and fraternity members.
